Rob Carrick will give a free talk about the pitfalls of writing your first novel

Writers Bloc Meetup member Dee says she bought Robert Carrick’s novel Cloudless Love on kindle. First she downloaded a sample from Amazon and gave it her stamp of approval.

'It looked well written and interesting, so I bought it. I like to support writers when I can,' she said.

'It certainly looked thought provoking about the future. Nice to see something set in our neck of the woods, too.'

The story is set in Bradfield in Western Sydney in the year 2035, and involves a breakdown in internet connections and major social disruption following this chaos. A love story and a road trip to Far North Queensland add even more spice.

Rob will give a free talk about what he did right and where he initially went astray in constructing his first ever long-form fiction.

There'll be plenty of time for discussion after his talk, along with free drinks and books for sale on request.

TIME & PLACE:

6 PM Wednesday April 17

HARRY JENSEN CENTRE, 17 Argyle Place, THE ROCKS

Book by phone: 0421 058 734

Or just turn up - there'll be plenty of seating.
