Sydney School of Arts & Humanities’ Second Anthology of Short Stories is open for submissions
Do you have a short story you would like published? SSOA has a mission to encourage emerging authors in fictional story-telling. This year we are publishing our second annual Anthology of Short Stories for new and emerging writers.

A short story is defined as a piece of prose fiction which focuses on one scene or incident, or a series of linked incidents, for a single dramatic effect or mood.
We are looking for submissions of between 2000 and 4000 words.
No entry fee – with the only requirement being for authors of only those stories chosen to buy 3 print copies in lieu of an entry fee.

The deadline has been extended to 15 September 2019

Stories will be selected on a competitive basis by a team of SSOA editors.
